LEVEL 2 FOUNDATION TRAINING
Our brand new Foundation programme is designed to give you the very best preparatory training for auditions for Level 3 programmes. This is the perfect course to build on your practical skills in all areas of Performing Arts, allowing you to refine your ability across a wide range of disciplines.
This one year programme offers you the chance to train with our faculty of industry professionals, building on audition skills, technique and research skills. All this whilst working towards a Level 2 qualification with UAL (University of the Arts London).
Our Level 3 course has become established as a highly successful and advanced training programme, with students going on to gain places at top conservatoires and performing arts colleges across the UK (Arts Ed, Urdang, Performers, Bird College, Laine etc). Sometimes our prospective Level 3 students just need a little more time, confidence and technique in order to fully prepare themselves for this, and our new Foundation programme will provide the best platform to help you progress.
The foundation year has been developed to provide students with the opportunity to build fundamental skills in the Performing Arts. This one year, fully funded course serves as a preparation year for students to develop the necessary skills for further study and training.
On this programme students will have the opportunity to train in areas such as voice, movement, character development, storytelling, performance techniques and repertoire development. This will enable them to explore the essential foundation skills and techniques required for successful progression onto a variety of level 3 pathways. Our professional faculty will guide you through working on practical skills, production skills, research and reflective practice along with developing essential audition skills and repertoire.
In Term 1, students will train in all aspects of performing arts, establishing the core skills and techniques required. Terms 2 and 3 will offer each student more opportunities to specialise in their preferred pathway, including the opportunity to access additional classes.
Projects will give students the chance to engage in live performances, learning both performance and production skills, exploring the process of rehearsal, production and the delivery of a performance as a collaborative activity. These projects will also give students an introduction to the key communication skills required for assessment in higher level qualifications.
